DisgraceProject

Page history last edited by Elise Luria 3 wks ago

Our two sections of World Literature II will collaborate on reading Disgrace with students in The Family in Contemporary Fiction, taught by Dr. Kim Middleton at the College of St. Rose in Albany NY. Groups in each class will work on themes from the novel, and we will share our findings on blogs (all students in Dr. Middleton’s class will have blogs) and a wiki (all groups in World Lit. II will have wiki pages). Our goal is to create a cross-institutional reading community. Do we learn more about the novel and our own ideas by discussing with readers outside of our own class?

Encountering Disgrace: Reading and Teaching Coetzee's Novel - This website offers a description of the Disgrace Project -- the collection of essays that resulted from a collective reading of the novel. Be sure to check the right-hand menu to read the table of contents and abstracts of all the articles.
